29-04-2009Gardner Aerospace in Basildon have ordered a heat treatment oven to conform to the NADCAP aerospace specification for pyrometry, known as AMS 2750D.
The batch oven has internal dimensions of 1150mm cubed and will be used for Solutionising of materials at 505ºC and precipitation treating at 180ºC. Both oven temperatures have to be within a temperature uniformity of ±6ºC.
Gardner Aerospace have returned to Hedinair for their second oven within two years, following the first oven successfully working at their site in Poland. -
29-04-2009Meggitt Polymer Solutions has combined the polymeric experience of two specialist companies, Dunlop Bestobell and Meggitt Silicone Products at their Loughborough site to manufacture seals for the aerospace industry.
This has brought about an expansion programme on their site which in turn has resulted in them purchasing eight ovens from Hedinair Ovens, spread over the past nine months. These ovens cure the silicone rubber in a uniform temperature using forced air circulation and controlled fresh air and extracted air to remove the heavy fumes generated. The ovens involve six medium to large batch ovens and two conveyor ovens. Meggitt and Hedinair have had a good working relationship over the years which has led to us being their preferred oven supplier. -
29-04-2009Professional Welding Services Ltd in Dorset have ordered a heat treatment oven to conform to the NADCAP aerospace specification for pyrometry, known as AMS 2750D.
The batch oven has internal working dimensions of 1525mm cubed and will be used for precipitation of materials between 140ºC and 190ºC at ±3ºC and solutionising of materials between 350ºC and 550ºC ±3ºC.
P. W. S. work with a wide range of aerospace companies involved in defence and commercial industries and required a superior oven to their existing model to meet these tighter specifications. -
29-04-2009Aero Fabrications in Nottingham have ordered a heat treatment oven to conform to the NADCAP aerospace specification for pyrometry, known as AMS 2750D.
The batch oven has internal dimensions of 1000mm cubed and will be used for Solutionising of materials at 175ºC, 375ºC and 505ºC ±3ºC.
The oven also has a vertical lifting door to facilitate fast withdrawal of the charge into a quench tank, following the heating cycle.
Aero Fabrications approached Hedinair with their oven requirement following an excellent recommendation by an independent company who temperature survey and calibrate industrial ovens needing to meet AMS 2750D. -
01-01-2007Smiths Medical have ordered four electrically heated, forced air circulation, batch ovens to cure varnish on fibreglass tubes at 80°C for 72 hours.
These ovens will be shipped abroad eventually by Smiths, to replicate a UK based operation where Hedinair ovens are also used.
Smiths returned to Hedinair for further ovens because of the reliable service they have enjoyed from our equipment. -
01-01-2007The Valspar Corporation in Austria has ordered two direct gas fired, forced air circulation ovens to stove painted metal test panels up to 250°C. The ovens will be used in a laboratory environment and for this reason will operate from bottled natural gas. The unusual aspect of these ovens is that they have a small internal working chamber needing only 15Kw of heating, therefore the gas burner and the combustion chamber it fires into were of a special design. One oven will be sited in Switzerland and the other in Spain.

01-01-2007Rolls-Royce at Derby have placed two orders over the last two months, for heat treatment, batch ovens.
Two ovens will go to their site at Derby with a further two going to their Bristol site.
This continues a long relationship our two companies have, with Hedinair supplying ovens which meet the Rolls-Royce specifications for high performance and reliability. -
01-01-2007Domnick Hunter manufacture and supply a large range of filters to the medical, pharmaceutical and beverage industries and always return to Hedinair for their ovens to dry moisture from the filters. These ovens can be conveyorised or batch and we are currently making a new electrically heated, batch oven to meet their latest increase in production.
The oven interior needs to be in stainless steel with all incoming fresh air filtered to maintain a clean environment within the oven. -
01-01-2007AVX Ltd in Paignton, Devon have ordered another conveyor oven, similar to those they have purchased over the years.
They are used to cure adhesive resins on capacitors up to 230°C.
The oven is heated using aluminium alloy platens and the components are conveyed through the oven on a P. T. F. E. coated, fibreglass belt. -
01-01-2007Baxenden Chemicals in Droitwich have ordered a steam heated, forced air circulation, drum heating oven which can accommodate 32 x 200 litre drums positioned inside the oven in a two tier format, which is 16 drums at floor level and 16 drums above.
The oven is designed to safely warm and melt the contents, changing the viscosity state to a pourable condition.
Baxenden came to Hedinair because of the success of these ovens already in operation at their Accrington site.
